I’ve been following the Tenderism Unc drama since the beginning. I loved his cute videos and then he really blew up when he did a video with Jordan The Stallion. Since then people have been visiting what they thought was his restaurant. But things went wrong for him when Keith Lee did a video visiting that restaurant.
Keith who lives in Texas was in California for a layover on his trip to Hawaii so he decided to visit Unc’s restaurant but when he got there to review the food, he noticed there was a bit of fuckery. The reason the meat always fell off the bone was because they cut it down the middle which made it look more tender than it actually was on the videos. But despite this, Keith still gave it a decent rating. He wanted to meet Unc and give him 4 thousand dollars. Half of it was for tip and the other half was for customers to eat free until the money runs out. Well, Unc was surrounded by bodyguards and Keith was told he couldn’t meet Unc. My guess is they didn’t recognize Keith or else the controversy may not have happened. So Keith ended up handing out the money directly to the customers to eat there for free and he made a video about his experience.
Well, after he made that video this white man starts showing up in these videos with Unc and that’s the first time we all learn that Unc doesn’t own the restaurant and Unc seemed genuinely upset about not meeting Keith and possibly getting that tip. But in the video the white man was chastising Keith and saying Keith didn’t recognize the other hard working employees and his hard work as the owner. He was acting like he didn’t make this black man the face of his restaurant and had everyone thinking Unc was the owner. The white man was saying if Keith came back he could meet Unc. By now Keith was in Hawaii and wasn’t going back.
Since then the white guy had a podcast and started disparaging Keith and making it clear he was the owner and Unc was just a worker. The black community was so turned off by this that we stopped watching the vids and I’m certain it affected business because now Unc is out of a job and I think it was retaliation from that white guy.
That’s the story as I know it. Unc got played and I hope that white guy’s restaurant goes out of business.
My view on social media is way more negative today than a few years ago, because it’s definitely

I hope something will change on day for the better but until now, I keep it pretty much to LinkedIn for work and instagram for weird and interesting real estate postings . This is the only way to not get gotten.
