Greetings Rod, Karen and fellow lovers of all things nerdy,

I hope all is well today!

The World Cup is here and I finished Blue Lock, also known as the Soccer Hunger Games. I loved it and again, the point that I keep going back to…..it makes no sense how hard sports animes go! I enjoyed the story of the soccer gawd, Isagi and his rise to greatness. I cannot wait for the third season of the Neo-Egoist League and the introduction of Michael Kaiser from Germany.

While I am in my deep rewatch of Attack on Titan, I decided to do some DC based reading. To give you a peek into my reading dysfunction, my old-new books are pissed with my new-new books as they sit there on the shelf, looking at me buying all new books. I have always been fascinated with the story of Injustice, even though I watched the movie, but never played the game. So, I finally dusted off my old-new book and read Injustice: Year Zero which tells the story of why the Joker went after Superman. At first I thought that the Joker was bored with Batman and wanted to get a rise out of Superman, but as I read, I see that it’s the same premise, just more sinister.

In addition to Injustice, I also decided to reread Blackest Night and the sequel, Brightest Day, which is one of my favorite Green Lantern stories. It tells the story of the Black rings of death and how it affects our heroes who had died and came back, the heroes who had died and were resurrected and gives us the super hero Rainbow Coalition! DC stories tend to go dark, which is the way that I like them.

Just a peek into what I have been watching and reading so far. Thank you Rod and Karen and stay beautifully Black on this Juneteenth Holiday!

    Love,

Hey gamers. So, Microsoft’s once again on their bullshit. Bought up all those properties only to sell them to line the pockets of the people at the top. Sarah Bond is somewhere saying: “THAT’S WHY I TOLD THESE CLUELESS NIGGAS TO PUT THIS SHIT EVERYWHERE!”

It’s like the 5011th time, either Sony or Microsoft has royally fucked up & I’m going to do my best & seamlessly transition into what I’ve been, playing, watching & even guest podcasting because these firings are getting sadder by the minute.

So, I’m still on the crack that’s Quake 2. It’s been the only game I’ve really played in the last couple of weeks. I beat the base game & have been doing the DLC missions. Some are better than others, but they play like its base game. I did finish RoboCop: Unfinished Business &… it’s an ending. Plays just like Rogue City & I might play again to garner more achievements. Uncharted 2’s a lot of fun, too.

I’ve just now finished watching 5 new or current releases in a span of four days because I’m crazy like that. Disclosure Day’s been getting a mixed rep from critics & audiences alike & I’m like “it’s good, not great”. It’s the second time I’ve watched it & the writing is taking many swings to nail its subject matter on surveillance, religion, alien abductions & the truth. Emily Blunt’s spectacular & of course Colman Dolmingo is sublime, per usual. I don’t recommend Lucky Strike (it’s about the Battle of the Bulge) as it’s about as appealing as a dull looking Salisbury Steak. Stop! That! Train! is pretty damn good. Gotta say. Terrible trailer but the final product’s a riot. Missy Pyle’s a scene stealer. Toy Story 5 is pretty great. Hard to top an amazing series ender with 3 but I’m team “this is a blessing” with both 4 & 5. Finally, Leviticus is basically It Follows but for the gay community & that’s also good. It’s 10 minutes too short & could use more substance but the message, characters are good.

I recently did a Mundane Festival with the great Chris Lambert & the great Tim Hall on Obsession. Great time had by all. It was a lot of fun to do & on my Instagram page (@film_wanderer), I did a Breakfast All Day episode with Christy Lemire & Alonzo Duralde talking shop about my all-time favorite movie, Minority Report. Had a good time doing that. The feed is a bit muddled, because getting it on IG from a downloading standpoint was a grind. Trying to be active in these internet streets, but, of course, gotta be wise about picking spots.

    Anyway, y’all take it easy.

What up nerd niggas! Yo I’m so pissed that the Voltron movie won’t be in theaters. This is the 80’s nostalgia live action movie I’ve been waiting for the most! When I saw how good and successful the MCU movies were back when they started coming out I was like man one day I hope to see my nigga Voltron in the theater. I’m still excited to see the movie one way or another but it really sucks that we won’t get to see it on the big screen. ..On another note, shout out to Sterling. It’s good to hear he and Quita are still out there doing well. Anyway, that’s it for now. Peace!

Hiiiiii Nerds! (this is long, I’m high)

Just checking in to inquire if you’ve gotten a chance to check out Witch Hat Atelier yet? If not, it’s one of them ones where by the end of the first episode you’re emotionally invested. Some Frieren vibes in terms of the fluidity and calmness, but when it hits it’s so satisfying.

As i write this comment I am two-thirds of the way through the first episode of Disney’s Dragon Striker (on Hulu) – basically Airbender style magic but soccer. I had no idea it existed and just hit play based off of the title. It’s pretty damn cool! Any soccer fans out there will foam at the mouth for this one. Alright, happy podcasting!

(see how cool I’m being and not bring up Donut n’them? even though it’s vibrating under my skin. last thing, there’s a recap podcast called Hello Crawlers that goes through each book in chunks and talks about them. One of the three hosts – a Black man – is listening for the first time and it’s great to hear him get into it.)

First the Crypto bubble inflated Graphics card, then as it was calming down a new AI bubble came along to inflate the cost. Regulate Crypto and AI in order to bring down the prices of Graphics Card — and IP and the environment and other stuff too, but definitely the Graphics Cards…
