This may be controversial, but I think that we needed a lull somewhere in the first half. It was too much action for too long! That being said, I loved it, my son loved it, and the only thing that could have made it better (other than pacing and length) was giving Grogu a Darksabre Shoto!

Also, Embo, the bounty hunter with the funky hat, was originally in the cartoon – Clone Wars I think. If I remember correctly, he’s part of a crew of bounty hunters that work with Ahsoka and they boys to protect a farm from Hondo. He was a recurring character throughout, even though Cade Bane tends to be the Bounty Hunter people remember from the cartoon, Embo was also significant. /endgeekmode

Thought this was completely fine, if not somewhat disappointing. I’m admittedly completely out of the loop, in regards to Mando & Grogu after I stopped watching the series in the middle of S1. The Hutt shit didn’t do it for me, especially with Jeremy Allen White’s Rotta being so dry from a dialogue standpoint. Even the whole thing of it being a ruse, kinda took away the edge, but the third act saved this film from being a complete bore. Grogu’s always a highlight, Pedro Pascal’s is always great & Signorney being here (even if her character is undercooked) is a treat. Definitely not the worst thing to watch on the weekend but hopefully the next Star Wars film is better.
