I had to look up to see if anyone actually died on the set of the raid. No one died but someone did crack their skull in the second movie so close enough.
Karen is a national treasure. This reminds me of an episode of SpongeBob where Squidward organized a dance recital for himself and SpongeBob wanted to participate but squidward wouldn’t let him. Squidward prepared and practiced hard and when it was time for the show, he got booed and and people threw trash at him. He finally let SpongeBob go on stage to clean up the trash. The audience cheered. Squidward tried to clean the stage just like SpongeBob but he got booed. Karen is SpongeBob in this scenario. We just love her because she’s so authentic and lovable even when her puns make no sense they’re still funny.
I always lyq it when y’all invite Myq over. The back-and-forth and tangents that you get into are amazing! And, because he’s been a guest so often, you always get into it like riding a byq, you never forget how to do it!
In defense of Karen’s stuff happens and she writes it down approach… several weeks ago y’all received a Chinese craft sword and mentioned that you needed to get it translated. I suggested that, because I run an international Ninja cabal, I could get it translated for you. I had one of my Chinese Ninja translate it, I compensated her with a beer (she is of legal drinking age) and I sent the translation to you.
I did not expect you to read it, so I did not include any jokes, japes, or jests. I didn’t even place any pitches designed to give you a home-run. Yet you, Roderick, made it humorous. If you can make humor out of the translated warning label of a craft sword, I do think you could find humor in almost anything Karen gives you.
When Karen mentioned that relationships are like water. I felt that!
Five stars for another philosophical discussion with Myq Kaplan.
Ok I feel the need to write in defense of Karen’s “sweetie, baby” usage. Not sure when it happened, but for the last few years I call everyone “my dear”…I’m always sincere about it, but I also feel like I can’t help it. I’m convinced this is a healed Black woman attribute. I will also say as someone with 100+ charisma that I take it as a personal challenge if someone is closed off to me. Out with a friend last week and our waiter looked like he wanted to die every time he came over. Told my friend I was gonna break him and by the time we ordered entrees I had him cheezing. We are the Aunt-vengers…peppering the air with terms of endearment while conjuring up smiles in an exceedingly dark world. Stay you Kay!
