I went to see Weird Al live this year and he played Dare to be Stupid as Transformers was playing on the big screen on stage as he was dressed like the band Devo. Lot of 1980’s on that stage.
The Hasbro toy company was ruthless in discontinuing toy lines. Not only can you not buy the toy anymore but we are just going to kill the character in front of you. Duke from the GI Joe Movie had a snake spear thrown in his heart.
The reaction to Prime dying was so device that in the US verson of GI Joe there dubs added that to said he went into a coma and the recovered. In the Canadian version there is no dub and that dude named Duke was dead like his toy line was supposed to be.
There was supposed to be a My Little Poney movie also but was canceled after Transformers and Care Bear movies didn’t make enough money. I wonder which pony they were going to discontinue in that one.
