Generally once you have a real conversation about race you realize most folks are not your friends. In general I keep it casual outside of the race because when the topics get too real you realize how racist some of your so called friends really are.

Unless these friends are people of color who have been oppressed in America, I don’t talk about race. The more I talk about race with White friends, the less I feel like we’re friends, haha. I guess I have White associates now. I just can’t stand the mental gymnastics of the cognitive dissonant folk, especially on issues closest to my heart. So I mostly just talk to White people who happen to know my name about Game of Thrones, video games and Dave Chappelle.
