In regards to the Target story, I’m licensed security in the state of Texas. Never been assigned to retail, but you were absolutely right. You can call the cops and they’ll show up eventually but they’ll only escort the person off the premises. They only get hit with trespassing if they come back again after that. And that Shaun King post definitely gave Scammer Sob Story vibes! He shoulda just DM’d people individually and asked for $40 cause “they gonna cut off my lights”. And the pictures?! C’mon bruh. He took that right outta The Tinder Swindler “They got Peter!”

In response to your story about the woman who had the word N***er written on her receipt. Yes, Karen is 100% correct that racism runs amuck Up South. I have lived in New York all my life and I know this to be true. As for the restaurant in question, I am not surprised that it is located in Pennsylvania, which until recently (last 5-10 years) was the state with the most white supremacist groups in the nation.
White evangelicals like the guy harassing Target employees WANT to be persecuted to show off their faith. I’m sure that guy could not wait to be beat up by loss prevention. He probably lives in a fantasy world where he is oppressed by an all powerful liberal government and liberal corporations. It comes from watching too many terrible “Left Behind” style movies. Evangelicals don’t seem to realize their fellow right wing religious kooks have a lock on power in the Supreme Court, half of Congress and most of the State Legislatures.
