Hello Rod, Karen and esteemed guests! Whew, I missed y’all! I hope all is well today! I am currently scratching my head to figure out why……………I mean HOW can the Oscar’s snub the highest grossing anime of 2025?!?!? How sway??? This is so wild to me, but to make up for the oversight, Sinners better win ALL of the categories to make up for this travesty.

So, I have embarked on a new anime direction and trying a sports anime with some slice-of-life. So, as an ode to my days of playing volleyball in high school, I am currently watching Haikyu and all I can say is wow! This show is just amazing as I find the games so intense, like an actual live volleyball game is happening. I am rooting my setter, Kageyama and my new short king, the tiny giant Hinata. I am currently watching season 3 at the moment. In addition to Haiyku, I decided to also start, May I Ask For One Final Thing, as I have also ventured into the long title anime as well. This anime is the definition of (you can play the clip) “Do you want the smoke, Bruv?” Scarlett gets activated real quick, even in the first episode when she wants to whup her ex-fiancée’s ass. I am working to expand my anime selections to include more slice of life and more sports, as I do like my anime with a side of trauma or horror…LOL! Speaking of Attack on Titan, I did score some tickets for the Attack on Titan – Beyond the Walls World Concert Tour, which features the music from the series. I cannot wait for the show! Thank you for letting me ramble about my adventures in anime! Stay Black, Beautiful and Nerdy!

King Rod, Queen Karen & fellow Warriors, what’s good?

Don’t have much to say, besides, I’m so happy to be a PlayStation owner, especially with their State of Play presentation. I’m just stoked that I’ll finally get to play MGS4 for the first time ever, with it being in PS3 hell for nearly 18 years. It makes a long time Metal Gear fan so happy I finally get to experience that saga. GoW: Sons of Sparta looks dope, but I won’t be getting that until the end of the month. Metroidvanias are my thing & I’m sure that game will hook me in time.

Been playing a lot of Doom ’16, which is really growing on me, after my impromptu playthrough back in January. It’s a blast & even with its refined level design, blasting from section to section never gets old.

And with Movies, I watched this film called Cold Storage, which is about a virus more contagious than COVID. It stars Joe Kerry, Georgina Campbell & Liam Neeson. Not the greatest thing in the world, but it most certainly is a film that’ll earn Wesley Pipes’s approval. #MakeitNasty

    Peace!
