Finally finished the Shinobi: Art of Vengeance campaign (base version & Ankou rifts) & I loved it. The final boss fight is cheaper than Nikki Minaj’s wretched soul but once you get the patterns & required power-ups, it’s pretty easy. I did get lost a few times, which I just contribute to being 38 years old but it’s absolutely worthwhile completing this great game. I still have the DLCs, Arcade Mode & a special retro boss fight from Shinobi 3 to finish, but Sega deed that.
Aside from that, I’ve been playing old school Quake 1 & 2 on Xbox & they’re fun as shit, hit detection be damned, especially in 2. It’s been on my rotation for the longest time, since that’s about all I’ve been playing lately. Trying to save up to play Pragmata on PS5 but I liked the demo. I was really worried about the puzzle elements but getting through the demo gave me confidence.
Movie-wise? Shheeeeeeeeeeetttt. I know y’all don’t like horror movies. I know, but Rod, you need to get on the Obsession train, my good brotha. Watched this shit on Wednesday night & I was blown away. The film itself is really good but it’s the actress in it that makes it come alive. Her name is Inde Navarrette (Superman & Lois), playing Nikki, who’s under a spell from a best friend who wants to be her lover for basically eternity. If I say anymore, I’ll ruin it. Just watch it. I even recommend it to Karen, but, yeah, it’s one of the year’s best. Devil Wears Prada 2’s pretty good & I highly recommend Tuner, too. It’s a new crime drama.
And Send Help is lit too. I just got the 4k last month. Rachel McAdams was cookin’! Going to check out Is God Is & In The Grey on one whole evening.

I hope all is well today! I will apologize for the lengthy email, but with the state of the world at the moment, I am really diving into a few animes to distract me.
I am excited to announce that I now have a new comfort anime to accompany my yearly rewatch of Attack on Titan! I have fallen in love with Haikyu! I have to say again, that it makes no sense for a sports anime to go so hard like this one does, yet we are here! I am really yelling at my tv like a live volleyball match is happen…LOL! Shout out to the dynamic duo of Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama. I cannot wait for the final movie that comes out next year where we see who is the real Tiny Giant of volleyball!
I am pretty much playing catch up at this point where I finished the second season of Frieren. Again, so good. Also decided to watch The Summer that Hikaru Died. This one here was such a good mix of drama and horror where you see Hikaru adjust to his surroundings while you see his best friend, Yoshiki explore a mix of grief, depression and how to address several ‘elephants’ in the room. I cannot say enough good things about this one here and there is a second season happening and I cannot wait.
While suffering through Haikyu withdrawals, I decided to jump back into sports anime and check out Blue Lock. It is really giving the ‘matrix of soccer’ and yet, so good! In addition to Blue Lock, I also started Sakamoto Days. The way that I stay giggling at this one and again, so good!
I will wrap up my watch by saying that I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the final episode of My Hero Academia, ‘More’. I legit had to shed a tear a few times as we get to see how Class 1A are now grown up heroes. To keep from spoiling the episode, I can say that I loved how it ended……que ‘Feel the Fire’ by Peabo Bryson. That song was playing in my head as the final scene played out.

Nintendo is crazy to try to patent a whole genre of animal capturing. Imagin if they tried this in 1981 after making Donkey Kong. Jumpman Mario is seen as the first jumper in a videogame so let’s patent the concept of jumping. Ridiculous.
I came to Vegas a week late for your live show and was just standing outside the venue looking stupid so I took a stroll and wandered into the Pinball Hall of Fame and had a ball. A pinball if you will. Free entry and all I needed was $5 worth of quarters for an hour and a half of fun. The original Pinball games from the 1930’s were on display and showed that it is called pinball because they used pins or nails as the obstacles. There weren’t even any flippers. Just a wood box with nails and a ball. Then I did some pro wrestling stuff and that is all I’m going to say about that………ok I got a floor seat at wrestlemania but I paid 82% off the price from reseller day of the show. Never pay full price.
There were a couple of things that I wanted to clear up from things I wrote in about these last two episodes. Pertaining to the Sea of thieves fan made card game Rod asked how I got involved. There is a blusky account “Sea of thieves Portugal” requesting anyone that wanted to participate DM them and I did just that. I was asked what kind of roll I wanted my character to have and since I identify as fisherman in the video game It made sense to request to be part of the Hunter’s Call faction. I sent screen shots of my character and that is what is on the card.
And finally while describing video store sim Retro Rewind I said that my parent’s video store’s adult section was a Mitt Romney binder full of woman. My dad wanted it to be known after hearing the show it was just the video boxes flattened in a binder for the customers to leaf through and a sure way for the children to not get exposed. I guess he was worried about his reputation.
Games playing: ReLooted-A side scrolling heist where you reclaim African Artifacts from museums and private collections. Actual artifacts are recreated in the game with short historic descriptions
Tiny Bookshop- Cozy game where you travel around a coastal town selling books. This game also uses real items and describes them for the customers. The Essential Calvin and Hobbs and Watchmen are in there.
Albion Online- World of Warcraft like game. that is all the description I got for that one.

I’ve enjoyed the Darth Maul show & its animation style.
Played & finished a game called Inkonbini that recently got added to game pass. A quick 4-5 hour game about a Japanese convenience store.
Also picked up a Switch 2 a few weeks ago to play that Pokopia game. I’ve been having a lot of fun running around doing random stuff in the game & having Pokemon help out
Lastly, I flew interstate to go to a comic show since it was the only appearance that Andy Serkis was doing down here. There was also another guest there I got a dvd signed by that wants people to stop dealing drugs in the community. I added some pics
