I’m sure you’ll take my food recommendations with a grain of salt but Raising Cane’s is trash. When one opened in my neighborhood I was excited to try it because it had been hyped up so much. When I finally tried it I was so disappointed. It was so bland and unseasoned and the Cane sauce doesn’t taste any better.
And Karen, yes, I was excited when announcement about Neese’s livermush is BACK!!!! Since a ‘group’ brought out the factory, I need a few folks to do some taste testing before I buy it in the grocery store, but I will buy it in the grocery store and a sacrifice myself for the greater good of country eating 🙂
I am playing catch up a little.
I feel like Gambit can cook, because the stereotype for most Louisiana folks would be their Grandma’s Gumbo recipe tucked away somewhere. I say this because I play Guess the Race all the time and I expect my folk from the great state of Louisiana to cook. Also I think Rogue would know how to cook as well because of the issue with touching folks, she would have to think about how else to be romantic, so I feel like she would cook for him, just like he would cook for her. But sadly, their meals are not using any Texas Pete, like we use. They are using that Louisiana hot, HOT sauce for their meals. Also I think Peter can cook, but it would be more on the struggle meal, chopped cheese, one slice of NY folded pizza side. I don’t know where the Little Caesars came from when he is in the land of great pizza, but again, nothing says struggle like a $5 pizza. Also the cheesy poofs are good.
Oh, and I was thinking. Doctors, Airline pilots, Professors, basically everyone with highly complex jobs with a lot of minutia tend to use some sort of a checklist to help things run more smoothly. Seeing as being the host, producer, tech guy, & straight man (I mean comedic straight man, I don’t think you need to put too much mental work into being a hetrosexual straight man, but I don’t know your life…) that you may want to use a checklist to help reduce your mental burden during the shows…
I don’t know, just an idea.
In regards to the character cards:
In my comment last week I was really trying to get a “Feel the Bern” in when talking about Ulf… Maybe something like “feeling aggrieved from both sides for pointing out his incompetence, now he just wants both sides to Feel the Bern.”
I was still workshopping it, but I think that it could work… I haven’t been a professional commedian on over a decade, so I’ll leave it to the professional comedy writer to punch that up and make it work, or throw it out. It’s your show.
Hello Crawlers!
For those who don’t know, I’m a Black gay man working as a l’m apprentice carpenter in Pittsburgh. I’ve been doing this for over two years now and for the most part I get along with everyone. This last time Trump got elected I just had to walk out of the room for certain conversations, maybe that’s the worst of it.
Often times I am partnered with a Journeyman who range in age from 25-60, all white except for 1 Black man, and I would say that a little more than half at some point when it’s just me and them they ask me my opinion about the big “T” issue as some refer to it.
I really try to keep it as simple as possible, saying “I just think they should be entitled to basic human rights like everyone else.” People don’t usually push back, although some just say that it grosses them out. In my head I’m always thinking, “Show me your unfiltered PornHub search. “
I then follow that up with, “I bet that there’s at least One guy here on this site who is Currently wearing his wife/girlfriend’s underwear and would never feel safe with their coworkers knowing. Not that it’s something a coworker SHOULD want to know, but it’s construction, it’s all locker room talk all day. Also I know this, because I’m currently hooking up with someone who does just that. Maybe that’s last part was just a brag.
Anyways, trying not to be a woke scold, unless it calls for it.
As a member of the LiggGaBiggaTiggaQ community, it is absolutely not ok for a cis het man to say d*ke. Many lesbians don’t even like it from gay men. Rod, your instincts are spot on. Love y’all.
