Leaving this comment before I actually listen to the episode, but I’m mildly disappointed that you get one chance to have an episode numbered 2-4-6-8, and the title was not, “Who Do We Appreciate?”
By the way our kids are vaccinated now with Biontech/Pfitzer for the first time, it was the first possible appointment. They had no side effects.

Finding a drug that works for Alzheimers was a money burning method for lots of pharmaceutical companies. It’s interesting.
The leading theory is that Amyloid Beta ( a protein ) accumulates in the brain and the brain and the brain gets worse. Imagine putting some sticky glue into an organ.
So far so good. Unfortunately every study with a drug that tried to reverse this failed. And failed very expensively.
Biogen‘s drug just failed less and it seemed to work for some subgroups. Normally it’s not enough totgeht approved. They got the approval but lots of experts were very critical.
I think they are lowering the price to not risk a reverse of the approval.
